The Stranglers played 2 gigs at the Rainbow in April 1980, several guest artists were drafted in to join them as Hugh Cornwell was in prison.

Mid 1976 the Stranglers had regular gigs at the Hope and Anchor in Islington, other regular venues at the time were The Red Cow and The Nashville Rooms.
Places – Tuckers Grave Inn, Faulkland, Somerset, UK
Tucker’s Grave Inn is the site of the resting place of Edwin Tucker who committed suicide in 1747 and is the subject of the song Tucker’s Grave on the Stranglers Norfolk Coast album.

The long ship featured on The Raven album sleeve is the Hugin Viking Ship which is located at Pegwell Bay near Ramsgate in Kent. The long ship was rowed to Britain across the North Sea, Jet was there to meet it arrive while on a school trip.
